Basic Mermaid classes have some e-learning requirements. It teaches about the environment you will be in, breathing techniques, how water pressure affects the body, and safety measures. Then there are pool sessions where you learn to put it into action from how to put the fun and tail on safely, how to move, breathe, recover, save your buddy, and as well as equipment care.
The advanced classes take you in to the open water. E-learning to prepare you what to expect and then the swim sessions will be in either a spring or the ocean. Wish Upon A Shell's preferred spot is a spring, because visibility is always great, water temperature is the same year around, you won’t have a problem with stinging eyes and it’s better for the equipment.
Our Beginner classes are approximately 4.5 hours; 1.5 hours will be doing internet courses online or on the app and 2-3 hours in the pool.
Our Advanced sessions are approximately 8-9 hours, this includes travel time to the area where the session is at. Typically starting at 6-7 am until 4 pm.
